Ian Goodman, TGG's President, and our team of associates focus on four major consulting practices:
- pipeline economics and regulation
- economic development
energy and regulatory economics
(conventional, unconventional, renewables and energy efficiency)
- support to counsel.
The energy and regulatory economics specializations include the evolving North American oil, gas and electric markets, Canada-US energy trade and transmission, energy system planning and operations, and energy-intensive industries.
The economic development practice also utilizes the firm's energy expertise. Since 1991, TGG has conducted over 20 national, regional, and state/provincial studies on the economic development impacts (notably jobs) and environmental impacts of various energy options in the US and Canada.
TGG also offers litigation and regulatory support to counsel. Support services include technical assistance in energy regulation and economics; strategic advice and analytical expertise; preparation of interrogatories, expert evidence; and assistance with case theory, cross-examination and final argument.
